Food Safety Issues in the News: Cheesemakers Alert

By Susan Marquis

Cheesemaker Check-In

Who: Vicki Dunaway

Where is home? We are living on the north side of the Big
Island of Hawai’i.

Ok, when you stand on your front steps, what do you see? You’re gonna hate this—we have a lovely ocean and pastoral view. We can’t get to the ocean easily—there are cliffs on this side—but down to the cliff there are farms and pastures, so it’s quite a nice view.

Do Try This At Home

by Meaghan Colleary

We are once again fortunate to have a guest author for our Do Try This at Home column. New Yorker Meaghan Colleary is an occasional contributor to Cheese Enthusiast with her City Sights column. For CE 11, Meaghan decided to make a first try at cheesemaking. First-time and new home cheesemakers will learn much from Meaghan’s attempt and Jim Wallace’s diagnosis at the end!
